I want to say thanks for what photography has done for me and share how it can benefit others interested in photography.
Importance Of Thanks
A well cooked turkey, fresh cranberries, and pumpkin pie created from the sacred family recipe is a thanksgiving to remember, today there are no mouthwatering foods set on the table, however there is a lonely camera on the table pointing back, starring directly into the lens thinking of everything I am thankful for that photography has given me.
Nature
Photography to me has created a new found appreciation for nature, a photographer's camera is their third eye that sees details and moments the human eye can not. The ability to freeze the moment when a baby duck is soaking in the experience of splashing water on its beak, the terrifying face expression a lion has roaring to the world, the innocence of child smiling in a photo that makes the smile last for generations into the future. The high resolution and ability to zoom in with a camera opens up a whole new world of what can be captured and viewed in the beautiful world of nature.
The motivation of thinking that your next photo may be the best is exhilarating. Nature has an endless amount of beauty and one can never predict what they will stumble into.

Exercise
In a world where a movie, tacos, and honey coated ice cream can be delivered to your front door via an app, fun exercise is helpful to balance out the modern day lifestyle and photography definitely helps to deliver this balance. Wandering the hiking trail for new animals to photograph or mustering up the strength to reach the pinnacle lookout and photograph a dazzling view will cost a few calories for the better. Certainly a camera is not needed to enjoy a good hike but it's definitely more rewarding when you can capture the surroundings with a high quality camera.
Connecting With People Around The World
Photography is a language that is spoken universally and needs no translation - a picture is worth a thousand words that everyone can read. In the digital age of social media a photo can travel around the world and so can the human connections made. Through social media a photo can attract a "tolles foto" from a fellow german or "grazie mille" by the italian person saying thank you for the compliment.
Photographers from different geographical regions in the world where the cultural art is unique to that region influences the photographers overall portfolio. The ability to reach out and learn from a Japanese photographer who incorporates lotus flowers and bold vivid colours inspired by Japanese culture is significant. The artwork of the past effects the art of today.
Ability To Promote Business
As a online small business owner photography is an invaluable tool for promoting a business given the ability to take pictures and edit them in a variety of ways. Seeking the services of a photographer/videographer for a product photoshoot or creating a video that takes viewers into your business without stepping foot inside can be quite costly. As a photographer it's easier to self-indulge and experiment in creating promotional content as apposed to a non-photographer who may sparingly seek out professional photography services to fulfill the promotional side of the business while trying to save on costs.
Turn A photo Into An Asset
An aspect that I am most thankful for in photography is the ability to turn a photo into an asset with little cost. Nature is the ultimate artist in the way it carefully constructs and paints our surroundings from the beautiful clouds that hang in the air like an ornament on a Christmas tree to the cute creatures that occupy the seas below. A camera can capture with great sharpness and detail these beautiful moments in nature i.e. two birds perched up on a branch cozying next to one another singing beautiful karaoke - transformed into a photo that remains the same regardless of time.
