A Valentine evening is bound to feature a romantic meal, a dinner for two featuring a montage video to reflect the true beauty of the occasion.
The key to a great food montage video is telling a story to captivate the viewer and convince them momentarily they are seated at the dinner table experiencing your experience. The first shot should be dedicated to setting the scene - this includes a visual of the restaurant, include some decorations, or perhaps anything that makes the restaurant unique.
The capturing of apertisers should reflect their true qualities - make this section of the montage short, quick and fun. Light Painting
There is no more romantic gesture than to light paint your love for someone. Light painting involves using a long exposure on camera an standing in front of it at night time and move a light around to so called paint a picture. The long exposure means the camera's shutter will remain open for a long period (generally 3 - 15 seconds) and capture all the movement during that period into on photo.
Light painting generally requires a professional camera, it can be completed using a mobile camera however the results will be limited as camera phones don't have the ability to increase the aperture.
